Mighty Morfin, real name Derek Mboya, was born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya and now lives in Canberra. His style is atmospheric and melodic with layered textures. Soul and emotion has always been a vital part of his music and influence. His strong attraction to genres such as Liquid Drum & Bass, Deep House, & Hip-Hop can be attributed to the aforementioned genres’ heavy soul influences and creative methods of reworking earlier works.
